Parenting in the Brandywine Valley? It’s Better with The Buzz.

“What are we doing this weekend? What’s going on this week? Where did I put that copy of whatever that magazine was that talked about that interesting whatever that would be perfect for one of my kids?”

Sound like you?

The Buzz is your answer to “what are you doing this week?” with kids and families in the Brandywine Valley. With so many cultural and entertaining opportunities for kids right here in our backyard, we’ll help you keep track of which museum offers what when, which story hour is the right age for your kid, and when you need to start thinking about summer camp and when you REALLY need to start thinking about summer camp.

Thanks for joining us on these adventures in parenting!

Meet Traci Manza Murphy, the Buzz co-founder, editor and primary “voice” of the Buzz. She’s a UD grad, a Dewey Beach regular, and lives in the Hockessin area with her husband and their 3 kids (an older daughter and twin boys). She is a full-time fund development, social media management, and writing professional and in her limited free time can be found playing tennis, reading novels, volunteering at her kids’ school, and planning a girls weekend.

Meet Jennifer Callahan, the technical and business manager of the Buzz. Jenn is an avid runner, dog lover, and cooking enthusiast. She is a member of the Junior League of Wilmington Board of Directors, works in financial aid at Immaculata University, and lives in Centreville with her husband and high-school-aged children.

Meet Amy Anzilotti, M.D., Buzz co-owner, pediatrician, and medical editor for www.KidsHealth.org. Amy and her husband came to Wilmington in 2004 to be closer to family after finishing their medical training together at Yale. When she is not driving her three school age kids, working, or writing her blog, she’s playing tennis, reading, and coming to terms with being a closet country music junkie.

Meet Kate Handling. Kate is a skilled graphic designer and manages the Buzz website. She lives in Greenville with her husband and two sons, helps manage her family’s physical therapy business, and is always looking for a chance to go to the Delaware beaches, get out for a run, or find a new pattern for her son’s clothing. Kate also owns and operates Bowie+Lou, a hip children’s clothing line.
