Vacci-Nation
It’s happening. Like, happening. Our parents are fully vaccinated. People in our social network are fully vaccinated. The kids’ teachers are fully vaccinated. Our siblings are getting vaccinated, and we are close to being fully vaccinated ourselves. My friend Laura, a teacher near King of Prussia, flew to Georgia and hugged her mom, who she hasn’t seen in 15 months. Our kids can hug their grandparents again, risk free. What a gift. WHAT A GIFT. Let’s keep paying it forward in

We’re Not Built to Sit. We’re Meant To Move.
One year ago, parents were desperately, stressfully figuring out what to do with their children who were suddenly home from school, and shut out of all of their activities. All this while also trying to keep them safe from the Corona Virus (remember when we called it that?). In the midst of global uncertainty, Molly Johnson and the rest of the Stage Stars Dance and Acro staff got to work. “We met with our director and quickly decided our goal was to get in touch with our kids
They are ready. Am I?
We got the call we’ve been waiting for — the twins go back to school four days each week starting after spring break. Thank you, Red Clay! I’ve been waiting for this for a year. My back hurts — I’

In any other year, Our facebook memories and time hops are filled with “the last time” … the last 5K, the last Guest Bartender, the last trip in the “before” times, the last time our eyebrows looked good, the last time we saw our friends from out of town. We know what lies behind us - the spring of isolation, the summer of careful outdoor living, the fall of confusion, and the longest of Long Winters. This just in: WE ARE READY FOR SPRING. We’re r
The Things I Miss
I miss my friends. I miss my family. I miss my routine and my regular life and popping in to a restaurant for a bite to eat and sitting at a bar and theatre and travel and movies and museums. Doesn’t everyone? There are so many little things I miss, too … and so, in no particular order and in varying degrees of missingness, here are some of them: Holding other people’s babies. Sometimes in my life of having no babies of my own, there would be cousins or friends or friends of
