Celebrate Earth Day!
It’s Earth Day this week and what better way to celebrate than by teaching your children about the environment? Let's show our kids how to recognize the importance of environmental conservation By introducing your children to the concept of Earth Day, you can help them understand why it’s important to take care of the planet. Here are some ideas to help get you started:
1. Plant a Tree: Planting a tree or any plant/bush is a great way to teach children about the different kinds of plants, why they’re important, and how to take care of them.
2. Go on a Nature Walk: Taking your kids on a nature walk is a great way to teach them about the world around them. Or play games outside, or go fishing.
3. Use Less Water: Show your children how to conserve water by turning off the faucet while brushing their teeth.
These are just a few ways to conserve and pay attention to the world around us. Here's a few related events happening this week... Check out Nature Babies or Park Pals at Delaware State Parks, Earth Day Celebration at the Brandywine Battlefield, and/or Party for the Planet at the Brandywine Zoo.
